We think this was a place for farm laborors to spend the night or get in out of the rain???

Nájera

We liked it here. We bought great pastry and bpught two fancy walking poles that we ended up leaving in Leon at an albergue.

I believe we stayed at the Albergue Puerta de Nájera. We could hear the folks talking in the street in the evening. Of course we were exhausted and wanted to sleep!

There is some chance that the pastry shop was called Pastelería Elvira. If that is not the shop, it was near that shop which is on Calle Mayor, 6, 26300 Nájera, La Rioja, Spain.

Margie wanted some kind of lotion or balm for something and we got it in this farmacia.

We have walked across to the east side of the Najarilla River and looked back to the west, to where we were staying and had been walking all through the earlier pictures. The next day we would walk toward the distant hills, but towards a lower saddle to the left of this picture.
